The special announcement of the Grimmie family was the introduction of Christina Grimmie Foundation.
The foundation is focused on two main things:
- to provide financial, emotional and encouragement support to individuals and families who suffer from the devastating effects of gun violence
- support for families facing breast cancer diagnosis

The Foundation is committed to helping impacted families experience the same type of love and support Christina Grimmie’s family experienced from friends, family and the community at large when faced with the shock of losing their precious daughter to gun violence.
The Foundation is also committed to creating a community of compassion and support for breast cancer patients and their families, in the same way that Christina Grimmie supported her mother, Tina Grimmie, during the most difficult times that accompanied her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis.
